As you know, I live with my family very close to the Akamas Peninsula and every year in August / September turtles hatch on certain beaches. In September 2023, I experienced it up close and it was an incredible event. However, it is also very sad because out of 1,000 turtle babies, only 1 survives. The animal rights activists mark the nests based on the traces of the mother. I have uploaded a photo of such a nest for you.
